I purchased this player the day it came out (March if I remember right). I had at the time no idea about it and was planning on purchasing a standard Blu ray player no brand in paticular. The features caught my attention and off I was into the new player. It worked well in the beginning and streaming video was a great feature. If you have read the other reviews there are many things that would have been common sense features to have, but with a new product like this I see it as a break through with room to grow. Mainly the wireless was what caught my attention. So bottom line I love the player and the features it offers. I agree there are things that would be a great improvements but to have it all is unrealistic and where would Samsung be with the perfect player on the market? The issue I have with it is the freezing. After looking at the complaints people are having I have not found anyone with the reason why it freezes and I think I can answer it for you all. After a few software updates the problems started to happen. Samsung eventually fixed them and added some more features like YouTube. What I did find was that the machine over heats like most video cards in a computer. So I ran a fan on it and tried to duplicate the problem. Guess what. The fan fixed it. Just tonight I tried it without a fan and it froze in the normal 20 minutes. So for those that love your machine or want all these features and are willing to try the fan technique then buy it. Keep your receipt and run it through the paces before your return time runs out. Enjoy. Get more detail about Samsung BD-P3600 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player.
