I was looking for a replacement to a several-year old upconverting DVD player that had served me well for some time, but was having some problems with discs freezing during playback. Since the cleaning kit probably cost as much as a new DVD player, I decided to upgrade to Blu-Ray instead. I did some searching online, and based on several reviews (this site and others) I opted for the BD-P3600 from Samsung and have been very satisfied with the purchase. It was incredibly easy to set up out of the box, with minimal instructions. I connected it to the TV via HDMI and then hardwire ethernet to our wireless router (and hence to cable modem). It loaded up fine and then has been smooth sailing ever since. No issues with Blu-Ray playback so far, and everything's fine with over-the-internet streaming from either Netflix or Pandora. I have not tried to use the wireless connection yet, or tried to stream video from a networked computer, so I cannot comment on that. Of course, the only downside is that my TV is in need of upgrading now (I bought my LCD 4 years ago, and apparently, it doesn't support 1080p). Overall, a very satisfying purchase.Get more detail about Samsung BD-P3600 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player.
